Visit the Northwest
We encourage you to visit the Northwest while your children attend Camp. We love this beautiful area and think you will too! Bringing your camper to High Cascade gives you the perfect excuse to tour the region which was first explored by Lewis and Clark in the early 1800’s. Whether you plan to stay a night, or make it an extended trip, the Northwest is a great place to vacation.
Lodging in the Village of Government Camp
High Cascade is located in the quaint little village of Government Camp. Government Camp is surrounded by the beautiful Mt. Hood National Forrest and is less than a 10 minute drive to Timberline Ski Area, the location of High Cascade’s private snowboard park. Timberline Ski Area is open to the public year round, with the exception of a few weeks in September. If you’re interested in slope side lodging, the historic Timberline Lodge boasts the closest lodging to ski lifts on Mt. Hood.
Staying in the village of Government Camp puts you closest to your camper attending High Cascade. In addition to the numerous lodging options, the Government Camp area offers a wide variety summer amenities and outdoor activities.
