HCSC at Mountain Creek
This spring High Cascade is packing up and taking a trip to ride with you at Mountain Creek, New Jersey! Each weekend you'll be able to get a taste of the High Cascade Snowboard Camp experience without having to leave your home mountain. Head on-hill with the renowned High Cascade coaching staff to work on your skills in the private HCSC/Mountain Creek snowboard park designed and built just for you. At lunch refuel in the Lodge and work with your coach to develop a plan of attack for the afternoon and then head out for more boarding. Get a couple more hours on the slopes before heading back to the lodge for some video analysis, activities, awards, giveaways, and dinner to make sure you have the energy to do it all again the next day. PARKS
Mountain Creek is committed to bringing you the best park to ride and develop your skills. Designed by HCSC and Mountain Creek Terrain Park Manager, Marc Tremain, and maintained by the Mountain Creek Terrain Park Staff, the HCSC park at Mountain Creek is exclusive to you and other HCSC Spring Campers. No waiting to drop, no chopped up landings, and no crowd means you get to pack in as many hits as possible during your time on-hill.
COACHES
Our pristine parks aren't the only reason why campers return to High Cascade year after year. Our HCSC coaching staff lead by HCSC Head Coach, Dave Renyolds, has coordinated a program that finds the perfect balance between progression and fun for every camper. Even if you have never snowboarded before or if you're double-corking future pro, we've got a program for you. Your on-hill coaching experience begins off-hill with your coach, where you will discuss what you want to work on and develop goals to pursue for the day. Once you get on-hill your coach observes and provides immediate feedback on what you can do to improve. Learning new tricks and honing your skills is exciting and fun, and your coach will keep the party going by mixing all elements of the park and free riding into your program. Each coaching group will be a maximum of a 6-to-1 camper-to-coach ratio, so all campers have top notch personal coaching and SuperVision™.
VIDEO ANALYSIS
Have you ever tried giving yourself a haircut without a mirror? How about getting dressed in the dark? It's a proven fact: being able to see what you're doing makes things easier. The same fact applies with snowboarding; having a chance to analyze your own technique and style is much easier when you can look at yourself from a different angle. Our coaches are armed with the latest HD GoPro® cameras to document your makes and misses on hill. You can then dissect all of your tricks back at the lodge and focus on areas to improve -OR- have proof of the newest trick you added to your repertoire.
FOOD
We may not have the hard-charging HCSC K-Unit kitchen staff serving up Sea Captain's Platter for everyone. But don't fret; Mountain Creek has it covered. Included in the price of camp we'll head to South Square for some classic tasty lunch options. Your group schedules their own lunch break so if you need a couple more tries at a trick you won't get corralled into the lodge before you're ready to go. At night it'll be pizza parties and pasta feeds. Throw in a couple snacks from our sponsors and you're appetite is covered from the minute you show up until you pull out of the Mountain Creek parking lot.
ACTIVITIES
At High Cascade the riding on-hill is only half the fun. Once your coaching group is done for the day everyone will regroup in the lodge for a sample of the HCSC afternoon activity programs. Whether it be dodgeball, a lake trip, arts & crafts, coaching awards, giveaways, video analysis, or watching a snowboard video with your coach and fellow campers, we make sure that the day is far from over once you step foot off the slopes.
