Demo Center 2011™

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

The Demo Center™ this year is looking stacked! We have unpacked, and set up all of the product, and it’s looking amazing! This summer we have boards from Burton, DC, K2, Capita, Lib-Tech, Gnu, and Bataleon. We, at HCSC, decided it would be a good idea for everyone out there in internet land to get a first hand sneak peak at all of the radical products that have flooded the Demo Center™! And who better to show you all of the radical gear than the staff of HCSC who ride for each of these brands? Well we couldn’t think of anyone better either, so first up is Alex Rodway showing off the new K2 Happy Hour deck:

Man that deck has a really cool shape, and that green is just jaw dropping.

DC’s new decks are also pretty jaw dropping. Look at Tanner McCartyshowing off DC’s new deck, the Focus:

Look at how pumped Tanner is to ride this board! His jaw is literally on the ground! That’s how pumped you will feel when you strap it to your feet too.

Coach Tucker Andrews stopped by to show all of you just how amazing the Lib-Tech TRS deck is:

Man look at him shred that ax. If only he could shred it like he can shred that Lib-Tech TRS deck. Oh man. Speaking of shredding, look at the Capita deck counselor Mike Ravelson is going to be ripping around on this summer.

That’s right, that is the 2012 Capita Ultrafear. Man, that deck looks reallllll good. You can see Rav ride that deck all summer here at HCSC.

We know, we know. You are thinking that there just can’t be anymore awesome decks in the Demo Center™ just waiting for you to try out. But oh man are you wrong. You saw him on the cover of Snowboarder Magazine, now you can see him crushing HCSC’s park on the daily as part of the infamous K-unit. Let Kyle Lopicolo show you how rad next years Bataleon Evil Twin deck really is:

Man that Bataleon board looks “sick”. You know what else is really “sick”? A person with Salmonella? No, no that’s not what we are talking about. Give up, can’t guess it? Well it’s Forum Snowboards, and they are in our Demo Center™ this year. Check out one of the new graphics for the Young blood, being shown by Forum dude, and coach JD Dennis

Burton Snowboards are also back in the mix this summer! Check out the oldest dude known to man, showing off this rad Burton Whammy Bar deck. It’s looking real good!

We know that we just bombarded you with some of the coolest looking boards ever, but we have one left to show you. Check out Max Warbington showing you how awesome the new GNU Street Series deck is.

This deck is so stunning, Max had to keep his shades on.

We hope you all are just as excited about the 2011 Demo Center™ as we are, because this year we have some of the best gear that we have ever had in store. Get ready to try them all out! The Demo Center™ is free for all campers, and there’s no limit to the amount of gear that you can demo! You can ride a new board every single day if you really wanted to!!!!!

Authorized Awesome: Travis Parker Rides for K2 again!

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

This is Awesome. What's next? Is Michael Jordan going to play for the Bulls again? Will Arrested Development be back on the air? Is Ben and Jerry's going to re-issue Marsha-Marsha-Marshmallow? Things are looking up.

As many of you may have heard, Travis Parker has been back on the scene, filming in this year’s Respect Your Elders film presented by Airblaster and K2 Snowboarding, helping K2 design boards, boots, bindings, helmets and more from the inside out (plus helping to educate the world with his Environmentally Challenged Fuel Television Show.)
The Big Cheese at K2 Snwobarding: Kevin Winkel (Marketing and International Team Manager) says “Personally, I couldn’t be happier to have been able to bring Travis back in to work with K2 Snowboarding. He is truly one of the most amazing human beings I have ever had the pleasure of working with, a legend in snowboarding, and after a few years away, I know that snowboarding has missed him. Here’s to keeping snowboarding fun! Welcome back Travis!“.

He spent a bit of time at HCSC last summer, and will be featured in a new HCSC ad in Snowboarder Magazine’s Photo Annual.  Sneak Peak:

If you don’t know who Travis Parker is – don’t worry… Snowboarding does a horrible job of preserving our history. Watch his part from Robot Food’s 2002 release “Afterbang” and see TP in action. A groundbreaking movie, a ground breaking part and a ground breaking dude…
