GRRRRRRRR MATEYS!!!

Saturday, June 25th, 2011

Ahoy all ye mates in internet land. Listen all and heed me warnings! A bunch of ye’ ole swashbucklers are up at High Cascade this summer!!!

In celebration of the new Pirates movie, which comes out soon, the good buccaneers at GNU will be having holding Gnu Girls Pirate Games special activity, every single Session™! Gnu is giving away a tons of prizes, and to the victor goes the spoils.

Ye’ ole winner of the contest get a brand new GNU board, and a bunch of other bounty!!!

This past Session™, the activity was “Swabbing the Deck”. All the girl campers split up into teams of two and competed in a fierce challenge of “swabbing” the HCSC street course deck. The girls had to swab their respective balls into their partners corresponding goals.

In true Pirate fashion, there could only be one winner. The only way to figure out who the one soul surviving pirate would be was to see who could walk the plank the furthest.

By walk the plank, what we really mean is leap into the foam pit!!! In the end, the two most ruthless pirates, who Swabbed the Deck the fastest were Marie and Payton. They then had to kiss their camaraderie good-bye and battle each other to the finish!!!! The girls jumped, and jumped, but in the end there could only be one winner, and that was Marie!

Marie
got a brand new B Street Board from GNU!!!!

Stay tuned and see what crazy Pirate activity we all have planned for Session™ 2!!!!

Boxes for Days!!

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Session 4 is going to have “Boxes for Days”. Not only is Session 4 the Signature Session™ for Eero Ettala, Heikki Sorsa, Iikka Backstrom, Lauri Heiskari, Eero Niemela, and Erin Comstock, but it’s also home to the “Boxes for Days” contest at Mt. Hood. That’s right the “ridiculously fun event involving a lot of boxes” is coming to High Cascades’ private park during Session 4.

This contest is awesome. Just imagine every type of box you could ever think of, all put together into one long box. “Boxes for Days” is sponsored by Mervin MFG ( Lib-Tech and GNU), Coal, and Think Thank, and Lib-Techs’ own Jesse Burtner will be on hand announcing all the action that’s guaranteed to go down. Watch this video of the “Boxes for Days” from Summit at Snoqualmie to see exactly what we are talking about.

“Boxes for Days” is free for all HCSC Session 4 campers and is part of Snowboarder Magazines “America’s Next Top Pro-model” Contest. More on that contest soon…

Mar. 9, 2011- Straight from the desk of Rian Rhoe at Bonfire/Salomon

This was tough… 278 comments, tons of likes, pleas, jokes, arguments and dreams. We wish we could give everyone a free session at HCSC but there will be only 1 winner.

So who will it be? Liam Robinson and Katie Polese made it into the finalists simple because they had so many friends like their comments. Jay Kuzma, we heard you. You definitely got recognized as the guy who was willing to try as many times as possible to win this thing. And lots of you made us laugh with clever comments and good jokes. Edo Noyrys commented all the way from Barcelona and had tons of friends like his comment. Anna Uthe your straight forward style caught our attention too.

The winners’ friends took it one step beyond just hitting the like button. Jed & Chris were stoked that this kid seemed to really want it and his friends have his back.

The winner is Mikey Trueherz. Congratulations!! You win!!!! Make sure to thank your friends.
