Roast a Bikini Turkey! Win an HCSC Snowboard.

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

In order to make your holiday even happier this Turkey Day, put a bikini on it!

Follow these simple Steps:

1.) Cut a tin foil bikini that fits your turkey.
2.) Tie the wings up over the turkey neck to give it that “relaxing on a beach towel look”.
3.) Sprinkle the turkey with Paprika (think of as “tan-in-a-can” for birds).
4.) Wipe off any extra spices near the foil to give your bird nice, clean tan lines.
5.) Bake your turkey, removing the foil bikini a little after half way through your baking time.
6.) Email us your photos*!

*Best Bikini Turkey wins a brand new HCSC board.  Runner up prizes will also be given.  (“Best” to be determined by a panel of HCSC Poultry Judge’s personal opinions.)

We have a lot to be thankful for here at HCSC…  Mt. Hood is getting hammered with early season snows and we’re going to stay in Boardwalk for a few days carving up Mt. Hood like it was Turkey Mountain.  Gobble Gobble & Happy Thanksgiving!

We Lent Someone The Marshmallow Costume?

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Drawbacks #1 and #2 to being the Marshmallow: 1.) Hard to walk up stairs. 2.) Even harder to fit through doors.

There’s a lot of benefits to living in Oregon: The year round snowboarding, the raw beauty, being close enough to the HCSC office to borrow The Marshmallow costume for Halloween…

When we received a call last Fall seeing if a local kid Zach Wease could borrow The Marshmallow for the great candy collection day, the answer was an obvious “YES!”.  Here’s a collection of photos from Zach’s night on the town.

Drawback #3: You are always stuck in the back for group photos so you don't block the Princess. (BTW: that kid's classic ghost costume is Authorized Awesome™)

Halloween Hint to the Marshmallow's buddy: If you go as something scary - don't carry a purse for your candy.

Zach - we like your style. Nothing fills that candy bag quicker than some transportation.

Thank You Zach! It's good to see The Marshmallow get out on the town this time of year...

The 2011 HCSC Brochures are Here!

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Congratulations to coach Scott Steven's for getting the cover.

It’s always an exciting time of year for us when we finish our new brochure: winter’s knocking at our door, we’re planning out next summer and all is well in the land. The new brochure is a slimmed down version with a pull out map printed on FSC certified paper. It’s a really beauty.

Here's a sneak peak at some of the innards.

Currently they have taken over our office. Tomorrow they plan to take over your mailbox.

FYI - they make a great quick read when you need one most.
