You probably already know this – but we have waiting lists growing for several of our sessions. Don’t miss out on what they’re calling “the snowiest summer ever”.
Check Summer Camp Dates/Prices & Availability.
Yeah… Try telling that to the 30 ft. snow pile on our dodgeball court. Spring may have sprung for the rest of the world, but HCSC & Mt. Hood are still buried.
Timberline’s total snowfall this season is currently a frosty 678”. There will still be snow in Government Camp when you get here this summer.
A couple weeks ago, HCSC Co-Owner and Executive Camp Director Kevin English and his wife Kim had a baby. They’re parents! Kim is a mom. Kevin is a dad and Milani is a tiny little baby girl who can already do all four nines!
Check out this movie by Justin Meyer featuring the coaches and the good times to come for those who are joining us for the first ever High Cascade winter camp at Bear Mountain.

There's a few spots left...Sign up now or read more.
Mt. Hood has had a winter for the record books – and it’s only January 9th. We hit our magic number of a 100” base before way Christmas and it continues to pile up.
As of today Timberline has had 365” of natural snowfall (28 feet!) That’s enough to bury 4 Yao Ming’s all standing on each other’s shoulders!
What does this mean? This summer is going to be ripping.
It’s official. The 2008 Transworld TransAM presented by High Cascade launched last Saturday in NH at Waterville Valley. We had sweet weather and Waterville pulled of a wicked awesome event. We still have 5 stops through out the series. Watch the video on twsnow.com
It's going to be a good one. High Cascade got the ultimate Christmas present: 100" base of snow on Mt. Hood.
We are getting slammed with abundant snow!!!!!!
Congratulations to HCSC Signature Sessioner Kevin Pearce who just won the most prestigious Big Air contest in snowboarding.

Long time camper, turned pro shred, turned gypsy, turned HCSC Staff member just got his first cover shot. Anyone who has seen Zac crank a method in person knew that it was only a matter of time before he landed one on a cover. Nice work Zac... We’re so proud, we’re practically shedding tears onto our keyboard as we type...
The results are in. 18 of the world's best riders have marked their calendars - and it's time for you to mark yours.
The following, is our

Trevor Graves of Nemo Design taught the 6th annual Photo Workshop with instructors Tim Zimmerman, Andy Wright, Christy Chaloux and guest legend Bud Fawcett. The 20 camper workshop churned out some insane photos during the week, with highlights coming from the sunset shoot.
Meanwhile Brad Kremer of Mack Dawg Productions lead the 2nd annual High Cascade Video Workshop as campers teamed up to produce mini movies under the guidance of snowboarding’s leading movie man.
Check out the photos and videos coming soon to highcascade.com.
Signature Session rider Laura Hadar wanted to peer deeper into the minds of our campers. As such, Laura designed a writing contest in exchange for pieces of her 07 set up. Not a girl to change her gear too often, Laura’s stuff had seen a lot of action by the time it was up for grabs.
Campers had one page to pour out their hearts and detail "What Snowboarding Means to Their Lives". A ton of great entries came in winning pants, gloves, etc (including an amazing love letter to Laura taking home a bandana). In the end it was a brilliant essay that took the board and binding grand prize.
Unfortu- nately, Danny Davis broke his ankle this spring at Snowboarder Magazine’s Super Park and had to get surgery. Surgery means physical therapy, and physical therapy for a guy like Danny means constantly being hooked up to wacky machines. As such, he was only able to come to camp for a few days, but made the most of his time while he could. He held a massive giveaway at his campfire/brownie going away party, answered every question under the sun and vowed to be back next summer with a vengeance and a ton of frends (no "i"). He also found time to throw long time camper Dane Tanbara in a trash can, much to the delight of everyone watching.
For those of you who have never met Jeremy, he’s a funny dude who is fascinated by how much (and how fast) people can eat. Early on in the session Jeremy, Seth Huot, Jon Kooley, and...

Max Warbington of Bend, OR has won the First Annual Front Board Off.
From the mind of Jeremy Jones, Seth Huot and Jon Kooley comes the FBO, a test of the quality, consistency and style of a rider’s frontside boardslide. Riders lapped a rail doing front boards, whenever a mistake was made they were tapped out until only one rider remained.
Judges Jeremy, Seth and Jon know a thing or two about frontside boardslides and, apparently, so does Max.
Picture This: The sun sets below the Oregon horizon and Brad Kremer of Mack Dawg, dimly lit by a flash lights, stands center-stage in a rustic Mt. Hood outdoor amphitheater welcoming a crowd of 300 young snowboarders to a sneak preview/world premier of the new MDP film. Mixed in with the excited crowd is a crew of the Mack Dawg riders: Jeremy Jones, Seth Huot, Darrell Matthes, Wille Yli-Luoma, etc., most of whom, about to see the movie for the first time.

The Pat Moore, Lauri Heiskari and Erin Comstock Signature Session would have been an amazing session even if Daewon Song, MFM & buddies didn't show up to do a skate demo.

Legendary HCSC coach and Lib Tech Pro Jesse Burtner teamed up with coach Johnny Miller for the most elaborate on-hill clinic of all time: A LARPing Clinic...

Pat Moore may be known for flying 30 feet above the deck of the world’s biggest quarter-pipes, but his true love? Tail Blocks. The tail block is a fun, low speed trick in which the rider hops up on the tail of their board, grabs nose and balances on their non moving, fully flexed tail.
Pat taught a tail block clinic on a rare foggy Mt. Hood day and turned a whole new generation onto this fun trick.
Note: This is a trick that you can try at home! You can tail block the carpet in your living room even easier than snow.
In Session 2 Scotty Arnold MC’d an all-out, thugged-out rap battle of wit and wisdom...Two sessions later, Erin Comstock hosted a lyrical battle all her own. Swap out the gangster beats for N’Sync tunes and the freestyle flow for Britney Spears lyrics and you’ve got yourself the Erin Comstock Sing Star Karaoke Battle.
If you’ve never had a chance to play the video game: go pick up a copy… it’s ridiculous. The Roxy Tour Bus had rolled through town this week which meant an extra serving of prizes for those who sung their hearts out.
OMG S3 was AWESOME. It was a blur of good weather, amazing shredding and crazy activities...

Last session Leanne Pelosi and Wille Yli-Luoma held the second annual K2 board graphic design contest. After pouring through tons of entries and racking their brains, they narrowed down the possible winners to 4. Unable to make a final decision, Wille enlisted the help of Lilou, his 6 year old daughter (who’s graphics were featured on Wille’s last pro model) to pick the winners. Her eye for design made a swift decision, and two winners were chosen.
Now two campers will be getting their graphics on the K2 board of their choice.
Check out Gabe and Joanna’s winning boards from last summer!
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS go out to Minnesota Native, dodgeball sniper, HCSC coach and Capita/Volcom pro Dan Brisse for taking 3rd place at the Burton Abominable Snow Jam last week - with a ridiculous run that included a FS 900, SBS 900 and cab 1080!
Gearing up for her Signature Session, Erin Comstock came early to coach an all-girls group Session 3 and ended up winning the ASJ Slopestyle!
Hana Beaman, fresh off her Session 2 Signature Session won the Quarterpipe, got 2nd in the Slopestyle and won a brand new Harley for her overall awesomeness.
Yep… in perhaps the strangest day in High Cascade History, the campers were notified of a surprise visitor during the four o’clock meeting.
A skateboard pro? No.
A snowboard mega star? Nope.
50 Cent? Close!...

In 1492, not only did Columbus sail the ocean blue... It turns out he discovered the Internet then too. Long before computers, rocket ships and robots - Christopher Columbus discovered this beautiful Internet. Sadly he never lived to have any MySpace friends and never "googled" anything. He certainly never got to check out the new High Cascade site.
